Recipe - Apple Puffs
This recipe is cooked using Bessemer's Gourmet Griddle & 28cm Lid
3 sheets of puff pastry
420gm pie apple
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon sugar icing sugar
fresh cream
Using a cookie cutter or large cup, cut 14 circles to fit in gourmet griddle. Place 7 circles in the rounds of the griddle.
Mix together the pie apples, sugar and cinnamon. Place a tablespoon of apple mixture in each piece of pastry. Cover apples with remaining pastry circles. Press down firmly around edges to close pastry.
Cover with lid. Cook on medium to low with lid vent open for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool pies on wire rack to keep pastry crisp.
When cool sprinkle with icing sugar and add whipped cream on top.
